Effective 9 July 2026 · Applies to the Pixel Finance iOS app ("the App") and pixelfinance.org
By downloading or using Pixel Finance you agree to these terms. They are short and written to be read.
Pixel Finance is licensed to you — not sold — for personal, non-commercial use on Apple devices you own or control, in accordance with Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which these terms supplement. Where these terms and Apple's EULA conflict, Apple's EULA prevails for App Store matters.
Pixel Finance is a record-keeping and visualisation tool. Nothing in the App — balances, charts, budgets, projections, insights, or any other output — constitutes financial, investment, tax, or legal advice, or a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any asset. Figures such as "pace", "projected spend", and portfolio gains are simple arithmetic on the data you entered, not forecasts. Make financial decisions with a qualified professional.
The App displays data you enter yourself plus publicly available reference data: currency exchange rates (European Central Bank reference rates via Frankfurter), market prices for equities and crypto, and public blockchain balances. This data may be delayed, estimated, incomplete, or wrong, and exchange-rate conversions are indicative — they will not exactly match the rate your bank or card applies. Your authoritative records are the statements from your financial institutions, not Pixel Finance.
Pixel Finance stores your data on your device only (see the Privacy Policy). That means you are responsible for keeping backups — using the App's export and encrypted-backup features or your own device backups. If you enable Pixel Finance Sync, your encryption passphrase cannot be recovered by anyone, including us: if you lose it, your synced data is unrecoverable by design.
Some features require Pixel Finance Pro, purchased through Apple. Prices are shown in the App before you buy. For auto-renewing subscriptions: payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase; the subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; you can manage or cancel it anytime in your Apple Account settings. Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's policies — we cannot issue them directly. Privacy is never paywalled: the App's privacy model is identical with or without Pro.
Don't use the App for unlawful purposes, attempt to reverse-engineer it except as permitted by law, or misrepresent its outputs as professional advice to others.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages — including financial losses, lost profits, or loss of data — arising from your use of, or inability to use, the App. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
You can stop using the App at any time by deleting it — which also deletes its on-device data. We may terminate this license if you materially breach these terms.
We may update these terms as the App evolves. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date and noted in the App's release notes. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and disputes are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore — without limiting any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.
